Choosing to Learn the Art of Meditating
There are countless ways on how to learn how to meditate. In order for you to come up with the wisest and nicest idea of practicing meditation, here are some pros and cons you need to know about where and how to learn.
Learning through a Meditation Retreat
Pros: This is the best way on how to learn meditating. A meditation retreat allows the person to have a guide and have a meditation environment which is serene. The only thing you need to do is focus and practice.
Cons: This requires huge preparation time.
Learning through a Meditation Coach
Pros: An expert can give you very good supervision during your meditations. They are learned on the art and may be able to give confidence and strength during meditation sessions and practices.
Cons: Meditation coaches may be expensive or others may be able to give advices which are not appropriate to your needs.
Learning through watching meditation videos
Pros: A video can be easily comprehended and understood. It is made to develop the habit of practice.
Cons: The video may not be able to suit the person choosing to learn to meditate and there will be no one to guide you if you are doing the right thing.
Learning through CDs
Pros: listening to meditation CDs can guide you carefully throughout the meditation process, there are several different types to choose from.
Cons: The problem with these is that no one can be consulted if there are questions in the meditation technique.
Learn through a book
Pros: A book about meditation has a lot to teach and gives very good advices in order to have more focused and deeper meditation practices.
Cons: A disadvantage is that there can also never be someone to give you feedback and advice on what you are doing. Also, it is hard to attain concentration of you read a book momentarily in between routines.
In choosing a learning method, always take in consideration the technique that will suit you best and the method that will fit both your mind and body.
