Healing Arts

How can I use my Fairy Sculpture for healing work?

I sculpt insperational Fairy Sculptures and want to know how I could use them for healing works. Such as selling them at healing arts fairs.

I think you may have missed the point. If you intend your sculptures to be for healing purposes, then maybe you should focus on that first. There is nothing wrong with getting paid to do good things, but if you are only doing those things to make money, something is wrong. Start by making the inspirational fairy sculptures from your heart and soul. Then, if other people find them useful for their own healing purposes, great! If you become a healer (I’ll assume you haven’t found that path yet, if you are asking this question) then maybe you will know/feel later on how they should be used. The last thing the holistic community needs is another fabricated product from someone who deems it to be a healing tool without ever using it themselves. Make sure it is tried and true before trying to pawn it off on someone as a “healing tool”. I am sure that there is potential for your sculptures to be useful, but I think (IMHO) that you have a long way to go in the process before it will be authentic and truly healing, both for you, and for others. Meditate about this- be still, listen to the guidance around you, and be ready to do whatever it takes to make this work for you. But don’t let $ be the reason.

The Creative Connection: Expressive Arts as Healing

The Creative Connection: Expressive Arts as Healing

$35.43

Dr. Natalie Rogers has developed a process called the Creative Connection "RM" that interweaves all the expressive arts — movement, sound, drawing, painting, writing, and guided imagery — to tap into the deep wellspring of creativity within each of us. The aim is to reclaim ourselves and then help others reclaim themselves as actively playful, spirited, and conscious individuals. Rogers emphasizes the importance of psychological safety and freedom while using the creative arts. This reflects her extensive work with her father, Carl Rogers, and a deep belief in his person-centered approach to counseling. Photos and art help demystify this process, and various exercises range from the simple to the complex. Natalie’s practical suggestions aid counselors who want to add expressive arts to their regular sessions.

The Psychobiology of Gene Expression: Neuroscience and Neurogenesis in Hypnosis and the Healing Arts

The Psychobiology of Gene Expression: Neuroscience and Neurogenesis in Hypnosis and the Healing Arts

$25.71

The new neuroscience discoveries about enriching life experiences, neurogenesis, and gene expression are poised to profoundly expand our understanding of psychotherapy and the holistic healing arts. We are just beginning to learn how the brain, the body, and our genes interact in ordinary everyday life to create our lives. Here, acclaimed author and pioneer of new approaches to mindbody communication Ernest Rossi introduces the new science of psychosocial genomics and explores how it will profoundly change our understanding of the pathways of communication among mind, body, and spirit. Integrating modern molecular medicine with traditional holistic healing art and spiritual rites, Rossi documents dramatically new approaches to optimize creativity in psychotherapy and therapeutic hypnosis with both individuals and groups. Part I reviews significant leading-edge neuroscience research on the psychobiology of gene expression and neurogenesis that leads to a new vision of the role of consciousness and creativity in the humanities and the healing arts. Part II explores how to creatively facilitate the psychodynamics of gene expression, neurogenesis, and healing in therapeutic hypnosis, psychotherapy, and human relationships in general. The Psychobiology of Gene Expression illustrates, step-by-step, how to facilitate the natural four-stage creative process on all levels from mind to molecule in our daily work of building a better brain. The book demonstrates how we can use our consciousness and our perception of free will to co-create ourselves in cooperation with nature. Rossi proposes practical approaches to optimize the natural cycles of gene expression in normal consciousness, sleep, dreaming, meditation, and the arts of daily living that are experienced by everyone. A case study spanning two chapters, containing dialog and explanatory commentary, brings the author’s work to life and gives readers a deeper appreciation of its clinical application. Rossi’s lucid writing style and vivid illustrations inspire this text with a new vision of the creative arts, humanities, and culture in facilitating the optimal development of health, performance, and consciousness.

The Healing Craft: Healing Practices for Witches and Pagans

The Healing Craft: Healing Practices for Witches and Pagans

$13.57

The Healing Craft is the first work of it’s kind aimed toward the Pagan market. Although directed at those seeking to use the healing arts from a purely Pagan perspective, it will be useful to any who are interested in complementary therapies. Written with this in mind, The Healing Craft is both academic and practical, combining chapters on the necessary information required to be a healer (e.g. chapters on the physical and spiritual body) with several chapters designed to increase the reader’s skills in several different healing techniques. All the chapters bring together both the orthodox medical viewpoint with that of the complementary therapist.Included within the book are chapters on Spiritual Healing, Massage and Aromatherapy, Shamanistic and Magical Practices, Counselling (with Tarot and Past Life Regression) plus a chapter on Last Rites. Obviously it is impossible to do justice to many of these subjects in a single chapter, so they have been written to guide the reader to what they will need to learno heal others effectively, while offering basic practical skills. This makes The Healing Craft an invaluable guide to those seeking to practice healing from a holistic pagan viewpoint.

The Well of Light: From Faery Healing to Earth Healing

The Well of Light: From Faery Healing to Earth Healing

$19.47

This book contains a wealth of meditations, visions and ceremonies on earth-based spirituality, including unique material never before published. Faery healing is a form of spiritual healing known in folkloric tradition and implies a working relationship between humans and the spiritual forces of the land or region in which they live. In this book, we begin with the folkloric foundation, but extend many of the ideas and techniques into remarkable new areas, previously unknown. Faery healing becomes, for the modern era, earth healing, a way of healing the wounded relationship between humanity and the planet. R.J. Witchcraft Medicine: Healing Arts, Shamanic Practices, and Forbidden Plants

$22.42

It does more than make one healthy, it creates lust and knowledge, ecstasy and mythological insight. In "Witchcraft Medicine" the authors take the reader on a journey that examines the women who mix the potions and become the healers; the legacy of Hecate; the demonization of nature’s healing powers and sensuousness; the sorceress as shaman; and the plants associated with witches and devils. They explore important seasonal festivals and the plants associated with them, such as wolf’s claw and calendula as herbs of the solstice and alder as an herb of the time of the dead–Samhain or Halloween. They also look at the history of forbidden medicine from the Inquisition to current drug laws, with an eye toward how the sacred plants of our forebears can be used once again.
