I need tips on meditation and healing?

I suffer from anxiety and depression. I have tried meditating but can never get into a really deep state of relaxation. I have tried many methods, even guided meditations but I just can’t do it. I know that is a very helpful, healing exercise and would love to be able to do it properly if someone has any useful tips or pointers.

There are many ways to meditate other than the typical meditations…try a zen garden, a small one you could rake along, this gives you something to do while relaxing your mind. Meditation in it’s simpliest form is to relax the body and quite the mind, so find a activity that will hold your interest. Do you draw, mold clay, paint??
