Whats your opinion and understand from the book Akita-Treasure of Japan?
I bought the book, and after reading some chapters and enjoying the book, it got to the Food, Supplements and Herbs parts. It got REALLY detailed. The book completely lost me there, I really do not know what to do. I am not a nutritionist nor a holistic doctor. What the hell am I suppose to give to my dog?
what are the positive effects of following her advice. will My akita live until 20 years. I did not do anything she said an my Akita lived until 14! thats a pretty good age? no?
Well the book is near and dear to me since it is written by the woman who got me involved with Akitas so many years ago- Barbara Bouyet.
Its a fabulous book.
Feed your dog a good quality dog food.
Remember the breed is prone to bloat. The Akita I have now bloated four years ago at the age of 7.
ADD: No, an Akita would not live to be 20 years no matter what. If you Akita lived to be 14, that is exceptional. By all means do the same thing for your next Akita.
