What is a “holistic clinic”?
what does it do, etc?
how long has this been popular in the west?
why and how so for this?

Unfortunately a “Holistic Clinic” doesn’t always have any real consistent meaning. Generally, it will suggest that one treats the whole person, taking everything into consideration. Some would consider massage to be inherently holistic, so my massage office could be a Holistic Clinic, as could a Chiropractor, Naturopath, Homeopath, Acupuncture, and many other medical treatment centers.
I’ve also seen a few Holistic Dental Clinics. Presumably, they focus more on overall well-being and less on drugs and medication. Unfortunately, it isn’t always the case.
They have been popular for 15-20 years, but getting more popular each year. Presumably, people are interested in living healthier and more in tune with nature than they were in the 1980′s.
I think the other factor is advertising. The more people hear about it, the more they want it. The more their stars and idols say they use it, the more people seek it out.
