Anyone tried Hopi Ear Candles?
I work in a Holistic Health shop and my boss gave me a pair of Hopi Ear Candles to try out.
Weird sensation! All I can smell now is smoke and my ears feel really weird!
How did you feel after using them and did you find them effective in treating your illness or health conditions?
My grandmother used to make her own ear candles and use them on friends and family members who were suffering from earaches. They did work with no unpleasant feelings.
I don’t quite know how it worked, but it did.

Each candle is 11 inches long and tapers down from 1/2-inch to 1/8-inch. Full instructions included. Hollow candles are used to clean the ears and are believed to help with various ear disorders. Using candles is generally more comfortable and less expensive than conventional ear cleaning where water is forced into the ear canal. Hollow candles, sometimes called ear candles, are considered a folk medicine. The practice of using candling is actually an ancient art from many countries such as China, Czechoslavakia, Mexico and Italy. Many doctors are using or recommending candling. They are being used in nursing homes, alternative health care centers, and are rapidly gaining popularity. These cylinders are not intended to be used to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Ears should not get water in them or be exposed to very loud noises for 24 hours after treatment. |

Wally’s Natural’s 100% Beeswax Ear Candles 12Pks $36.99 Wally’s Ear Candles 100% Beeswax Family Pack Description: ? Pure Natural Beeswax Ear Candles – All Natural, Smell Sweet – with No Oils, Fragrances or Additives. ? Ear Candles Provide a Safe and Effective Way to Clear Ear Canals of Wax Build-up. A traditional practice used for centuries, ear candling (also called coning) consists of placing a hollow cylinder coated with wax at the opening of the ear canal and lighting the other end to allow warm smoke to enter the ear. Those who use ear candles claim the warm smoke that the candle delivers to the ear canal is soothing. They say the process is relaxing and often results in a sense of clarity after candling. Ingredients: Unbleached Cotton Muslin Directions: Always have an assistant perform the process. Use fresh supplies and work in a clean area. Use common sense around fire. Do not insert sharp objects or push anything into the ears. If anything falls into the ear, stop the procedure and tilt the head to let the material fall out. You can also flush clean water into the ear to rinse out any of this material. Following these suggestions will help prevent any injury or harm to the ear. Procedure: Use damp towels or Wally’s Head & Shoulder Cover to cover the hair, face and clothing. The person should sit up during the process. Use an aluminum pie pan with hole for candle, angling the candle about 10 degrees upward. Light candle, and let smoke and warmth soothe the ear. As candle burns, cut off the ash into a bowl of water. During the procedure, you may massage the face in the areas of the sinuses (around the cheek, nose and eye) and along the side of the person’s neck. When candle burns to about 4 in length, carefully remove it from the ear and extinguish the candle in the bowl of water. Warnings: This product should not be used to treat any infection of the inner or outer ear. If you have a serious ear disease, tubes in your ears, eardrum damage or an upper respiratory infection, consult a physician before you attempt this process. |

Cone candling of one form or another, has been performed since ancient times ranging from Tibet, Egypt, and all the way to North and South America. The first cone candle was made by Tibetans along the Tigris River thousands of years ago. The candle maker dried a reed, placed one side of the hollow cylinder in his ear and ignited the other end. Today, more people than eer before are using ear cone candles to clean debris from their ears. Ear cone candling is based on Burnelli”s Law of Airflow, which states that when a hollow cylinder (cone candle) is heated, air will be drawn into the cylinder at an increased rate and forced out of the cylinder with greater force. Thus, any loose material within the cylinder would be forced toward the exit point of the cylinder. Ear cone candling creates a gentle vacuum, painlessly pulling debris from the ear.
