I have just recieved news the other day that i have got my place in college for holistic nursing that will be starting in september and what i was wondering is the following. If i go down to my socail welfare office on monday and put in the paperwork how long will i be waiting before i get the money.
I live in ireland and i currantly got my list of things to get for the course just yesterday.
All helpful advice would be much helpful and very grateful
Right, I had to go to Kerry Education Services for my grant. The Social will give you a once off payment of €500 toward books etc. you will recieve Back To Education Allowance instead of your welfare payment, if you are on one. You will need to have your P60, a P21 for last year(important), proof of ID. They will do a means test on you, then you get the grant. I get my grant paid into my b/a on the 14th of every month.

Notes on Nursing: What It Is, and What It Is Not $12.61 Neither in my own nursing education at the B.S.N. nor at the M.S.N. level, was it even suggested, much less required, that I read any of Florence Nightingales original writings. Even as a nurse educator for over 30 years, I did not require my students to read her writings either. After reading this book, I now believe it is a void in the education of a nurse not to read at least some of the writings of the founder of modern day nursing. Notes on Nursing would be an excellent choice. This book introduces and discusses, to some degree, many of the concepts nurses have been dealing with since before my entrance into the field in the 1969, and certainly ever since. Included in these pages are concepts such as holistic health, home health, alternative therapies, health prevention and maintenance, the role of women in nursing and in everyday life, nursing administration, leadership, communications skills, mind/body and body/mind relationships. Her theory on the use of light, fresh air, warmth, cleanliness, quiet, and the proper selection and administration of diet is also well explored. Some of the comments are unexpected and very insightful. Anita S. Kessler, R.N., M.S.N., M.Ed. Florence Nightingale was the founder of the modern nursing profession. She single handedly revolutionized medical treatment with her writings on nursing. Anita S. Kessler is an R. N. With Master Degrees in both nursing and education. She has been an educator of nurses for more than thirty years. Author: Nightingale, Florence/ Kessler R. N. M. S. N. M. Ed, Anita S. Holistic Education by Rudge, Lucila T. [Paperback] $151.35 The holistic education movement emerged in the mid1980s as a response to the then dominant worldview of mainstream education. It is an educational paradigm that integrates the idealistic ideas of humanistic education with spiritual philosophical ideas. Holistic education theorists propose an integration of what most progressive and democratic movements in education assume should be kept separate: spirituality and humanistic ideals. While these two paradigms may be combined philosophically, the author questions whether they can be jointly applied in a single approach to education. This book investigates this question by exploring the pedagogical application of the philosophical principles advocated by leading theorists in the field of holistic education in four selected school systems: Waldorf Schools, Montessori Schools, Reggio Emilia Schools, and Neohumanist Schools. The analysis and detailed description of the pedagogy in these school systems helps illuminate issues involved in the application of holistic education. This book will be especially useful to educators who are seeking to broaden their understanding of the theory and practice of holistic education. Author: Rudge, Lucila T. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 176 Publication Date: 2010/10/12 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.41 inches |
